Job Summary:

As an International Freight Specialist, you will play a critical role in controlling inbound freight costs, supporting invoice approval, and following up on inbound services and requests. You will also create and maintain the inbound freight shipment database, work with the Inbound Manager to evolve SLAs and other metric capturing and evolution, and support the European freight community on ESG/Green transportation reporting, exports, and further invoice support and automation.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Control inbound freight costs and support invoice approval
  • Follow up on inbound services and requests
  • Maintain the inbound freight shipment database
  • Provide spot quotes for outbound international and inbound service requests
  • Establish inbound reporting on cost evolution
  • Develop, maintain, and measure proper internal KPIs, SLAs, and cost tracking
  • Manage outbound international returns to vendors for all LCs
  • Handle ESG reporting improvements and queries
  • Coordinate carrier management in Ariba for all LCs
  • Support Freight Managers on invoice control reporting and automate invoice collection
Requirements:
  • 3-5 years of experience in logistics/operations
  • Detailed understanding of operational processes
  • Detailed knowledge and experience of planning within a large fast-moving operation
  • Analytical thinking
  • System knowledge within logistics
  • Knowledge of SAP and MS Office
  • Advance Excel skills
  • Knowledge of databases, SAP BW/BI is an advantage
