Overview

The Royal College of Psychiatrists in Scotland is seeking a highly skilled Mental Health Policy Advocate to join its team.

As a key member of the policy and public affairs department, you will be responsible for developing, influencing, and delivering the College's policy in Scotland.

This exciting role offers an opportunity to work on a wide range of complex policy areas, including mental health reform, legislation, and government initiatives.

You will work closely with the National Manager, College Officers, Leads, Devolved Council, and committees to ensure that the College's views are represented effectively.

In this challenging and rewarding role, you will need to demonstrate experience of working effectively with internal and external stakeholders to maximise the College's influence.

A strong track record of policy development, research, and analysis is essential, as well as excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate complex information clearly and concisely.

We value a diverse workforce and welcome applications from all sections of the community, reflecting the population we serve.

We offer a competitive salary of £55,000 - 65,000 per annum, depending on experience, plus a range of benefits, including a hybrid working model, flexible working hours, and access to training and development opportunities.
