Nuclear Safety Specialist

Core Talent Recruitment is seeking a Nuclear Safety Specialist to contribute to key projects at HMNB Clyde. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering Floating dock HAZID and Safety Assessments, Shoreside infrastructure HAZID and Safety Assessments, Floating dock Basis of Design, Safety Functional Requirements, UID006: Preliminary Safety Case Report, and Updates to Safety and Environmental Management Plans (SEMPs).

Key Responsibilities:

  • Floating dock HAZID and Safety Assessments
  • Shoreside infrastructure HAZID and Safety Assessments
  • Floating dock Basis of Design
  • Safety Functional Requirements
  • UID006: Preliminary Safety Case Report
  • Updates to Safety and Environmental Management Plans (SEMPs)

Requirements:

  • Proven experience in nuclear safety engineering, particularly within submarine infrastructure or naval nuclear facilities
  • Strong background in Hazard Identification (HAZID) and Safety Assessments
  • Experience with Safety Functional Requirements and Safety Case Reports
  • Ability to work independently and remotely, managing deliverables within agreed timelines
