Advanced Practice Training Programme Director

We are seeking an experienced Advanced Practice Training Programme Director to join our team at NHS England. The successful candidate will play a key role in supporting the development of advanced practice training programmes across the region.
About the RoleThe Advanced Practice Training Programme Director will be responsible for overseeing and advising on advanced practice specialty-specific matters, supporting recruitment to advanced practice training posts and programmes, and managing trainee/trainer concerns. They will also use educational resources to support learners within programmes to fulfil their full potential.
The role requires a strong understanding of the national advancing practice agenda, experience of bringing and supporting advanced practice trainees into a healthcare setting, and an understanding of AP roles within a range of healthcare settings from all professional groups.
Key Responsibilities- Oversee and advise on advanced practice specialty-specific matters happening regionally and nationally.
- Support recruitment to advanced practice training posts and programmes and manage trainee/trainer concerns.
- Use educational resources to support learners within programmes to fulfil their full potential.
- Advanced Practice programme management, including assessments, progression, support and remediation, trainee management, careers support and less than full-time training.
The ideal candidate will have a Master's degree or equivalent level of experience, current membership to a regulatory body, and extensive knowledge of healthcare education management or commissioning. They will also have highly developed interpersonal and communication skills, demonstrable leadership skills, and a strong sense of vision and ability to innovate.
