Job Summary

NHS England is seeking experienced advanced practitioners/clinicians to support the Regional Faculty for Advancing Practice in training, supervision, job roles, and workforce needs for advanced practitioners.

About the Role

The successful candidate will oversee and advise on advanced practice specialty-specific matters, support recruitment to advanced practice training posts and programmes, and manage trainee/trainer concerns.

They will work closely with universities, trusts, supervisors, and trainees to create a safe learning environment and promote shared learning opportunities to increase effective inter-professional working across the region.

Key Responsibilities
  • Advanced practice specialty-specific matters happening regionally and nationally
  • Support recruitment to advanced practice training posts and programmes and manage trainee/trainer concerns
  • Use educational resources to support learners within programmes to fulfill their full potential
  • Advanced Practice programme management, including assessments, progression, support, and remediation, trainee management, careers support, and less than full-time training
Requirements

The ideal candidate will have:

  • Education to Masters' level or equivalent level of experience of working at a senior level in a specialist area and healthcare leadership
  • Current membership to a regulatory body/Fellowship of a College, Faculty, professional association
  • Extensive knowledge of healthcare education management or commissioning, acquired through postgraduate diploma or equivalent experience or training
