About the Position

We are seeking a highly skilled Crisis Response Specialist to join our team at the Hillsborough County Sheriff's Office. As a key member of our support staff, you will play a vital role in providing critical assistance to victims of crimes.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in crisis intervention, social work, or a related field, with excellent communication and interpersonal skills. You will be responsible for providing emotional support, information, and referrals to victims, as well as acting as a liaison between law enforcement and the victims' families.

To succeed in this role, you will need to possess a high level of empathy, discretion, and professionalism. You must be able to work effectively in a fast-paced environment, prioritize tasks, and manage multiple cases simultaneously. A valid Florida Driver License and a clean driving record are required.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide crisis response services to victims of crimes, including emotional support, information, and referrals.
  • Act as a liaison between law enforcement and the victims' families, ensuring effective communication and coordination.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with local community resources, organizations, and service providers to ensure timely access to assistance.
  • Conduct intake assessments, identify victim needs, and develop plans to address those needs.
  • Maintain accurate records, reports, and correspondence related to case management and client interactions.
Requirements
  • A minimum of three years of experience in crisis intervention, social work, or a related field.
  • A bachelor's degree from an accredited institution in a relevant field, such as counseling, psychology, or social work.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills.
  • A valid Florida Driver License and a clean driving record.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience working with victims of crimes, including domestic violence, child abuse, and human trafficking.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite software, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Familiarity with local community resources and organizations that provide services to victims of crimes.
Compensation and Benefits

The estimated salary for this position is $45,000 - $55,000 per year, depending on experience and qualifications. The Hillsborough County Sheriff's Office offers a comprehensive benefits package, including health, dental, and vision insurance, as well as paid time off and holidays.
