Travel Claims Coordinator

Job Summary: We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Travel Claims Coordinator to join our team at International Medical. As a Travel Claims Coordinator, you will be responsible for handling incoming calls, faxes, and emails, and referring them to the appropriate Claims Handler when necessary.
Key Responsibilities:
- Act as the first point of contact for incoming calls, faxes, and emails
- Set up new cases and claims on the Trident Travel system
- Perform various administrative duties, such as external post, claims settlements, and attaching incoming mails to the correct area within the claims system
- Verify policy issues and issue the correct claims forms
- Support and assist Claims Handlers as directed
- Ensure all internal and external communications are dealt with in a professional, disciplined, and courteous manner
- Deal with enquiries from policyholders and clients on case-related matters in a prompt, courteous, and professional manner
- Ensure that any information given is within the terms and conditions of the travel insurance policy
- Ensure that all information obtained during a call is properly documented on the claim
- Familiarize yourself with GR's published service standards and ensure that any support provided is done so in accordance with these
- Annotate all telephone calls made and received, and all emails and faxes sent and received on the relevant system
Requirements:
- Previous insurance/assistance experience or similar (preferred)
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, delivered in a clear and professional manner
- Strong problem-solving skills
- Computer literacy, including familiarity with Microsoft Office (Word, Outlook, Excel)
- A high level of accuracy
- Ability to work under pressure in a close-knit team
- Previous customer service experience in a similar role would be beneficial, but a positive, professional attitude and a desire to develop your skills are more important
- Fluent in English and an additional language (not essential)
- Previous administration experience (preferred)
- Must be flexible to start later and finish later in the day
