Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Operational Resilience Specialist to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for supporting the development and implementation of our Operational Resilience framework, including the onboarding of and in-life management of suppliers, model governance, and scenario testing.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Support the development and implementation of our Operational Resilience framework
  2. Own and coordinate the supplier management process
  3. Own the model governance framework and work with the business to ensure that models are managed in line with the framework
  4. Work with business areas to ensure that Important Business Services and associated process mapping and self-assessments remain current and maintained over time
  5. Development and delivery of scenario testing across all Important Business Services
  6. Develop and own the production of regular Operational Resilience & Risk reporting
  7. Support with delivering relevant Operational Resilience and Operational Risk training as and when required
  8. Provide support on incident/risk event reporting and the development of mitigating actions to prevent reoccurrence
  9. Maintain the internal control framework through coordination and execution of regular control testing
  10. Provide guidance and advice to business areas to complete root cause analysis into identified control and process issues and develop effective remediation plans
  11. Review risk and control MI to identify any potential issues, trends, or common themes and develop actions to address
  12. Day to day management of our customer journey framework through Standard Operating Procedure (SOP) Management, Inventory maintenance, ensuring consistency and approval through weekly SOP meetings
Requirements
  1. Possesses strong analytical skills for reviewing complex data sets
  2. Ability to identify current or emerging risks and develop appropriate plans to mitigate
  3. Has excellent written communication skills with experience in professional document writing and version control
  4. Ability to communicate information in a clear and understandable manner to stakeholders
  5. Has a keen eye for detail with a solution-orientated mindset to support the business
  6. Ability to engage with and seek input from others to ensure delivery to agreed timescales
  7. Strong sense of ownership and ability to follow tasks through to completion
  8. Willingness to learn new processes, and technologies and maintain industry knowledge
  9. Has the thought process to understand business processes to a level that will support assurance testing and process reviews
  10. Can solve complex problems and present solutions in a clear way to key stakeholders
  11. Ability to understand and determine when issues should be escalated to a higher level
  12. Open to new ideas and change initiatives, with an ability to modify the current approach in the face of new demands
  13. Strong skills in PowerPoint
  14. Experience in Operational Resilience and/or Operational Risk
  15. Experience within a Banking or Financial Services
  16. Proficient in Microsoft Office programs
  17. Experience in financial services operating platforms
  18. High numeracy and literacy skills
