Job Title: Support Mentor for Children and Young People

Job Summary:

We are seeking an enthusiastic and flexible Support Mentor to work in a Special Needs School based in Hulme. The successful candidate will support and mentor students with a range of additional needs, including lack of engagement at school and attendance issues.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support students with social, emotional, and mental health difficulties
  • Communicate with parents and deal with pupils in a calm but firm manner
  • Transport pupils to and from school and other educational establishments

Requirements:

  • Hold an enhanced child barred list DBS certificate
  • Have experience of working with KS3 and/or KS4 pupils and their families
  • Have a wealth of experience of working with pupils who can demonstrate challenging behaviours
