Job Title: Behaviour Mentor
Job Type: Temporary Long-Term
Location: Brixton, London
Job Description: Prospero Teaching is seeking dedicated Behaviour Mentors to work with an OFSTED rated 'Good' secondary school in Brixton. Behaviour Mentors will work closely with the existing behaviour management team to build strong connections with students and aid their personal growth.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide one-on-one or small group behavioural support to children with Autism.
- Assist the class teacher in implementing individualised behavioural plans.
- Foster a positive and structured classroom environment.
- Monitor and document student behaviour, adapting strategies as needed.
Requirements:
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Recently graduated from university.
- Ability to quickly build relationships with students and staff.
- Enhanced DBS Certificate (within 1 year or on the update service) or be willing to apply and pay for one.
- 2 X Refs that cover the last 2 years.
- Right to work in the UK.
