Job Title: PMLD Learning Support Specialist

Job Summary: We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Learning Support Specialist to join our team at Protocol Education. The ideal candidate will have experience working with students with profound and multiple learning difficulties (PMLD) and a passion for creating a nurturing environment that fosters effective social, emotional, and educational development.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with classroom teachers to devise and deliver person-centred learning and care plans
  • Monitor and record student progress, reporting to the school's SEN team and meeting targets
  • Build strong relationships with students and provide individualised support to promote their development
  • Work efficiently in a team to ensure effective support for students with complex needs

Requirements:

  • Experience working with students with PMLD and other special educational needs
  • Qualification in Team Teach (desirable but not essential)
  • Ability to work collaboratively with teachers and other support staff
  • Compassion, patience, and resilience when working with students with complex needs
