Are you passionate about helping students overcome behavioral challenges and thrive in their learning environment? Teaching Personnel is seeking a compassionate and resilient Behaviour Teaching Assistant to join a committed secondary school team in the London borough of Lambeth. In this role, you'll be instrumental in supporting students with social, emotional, and behavioral needs, helping them engage positively with school life and achieve their potential.

The ideal candidate will bring relevant experience in behavior support, youth work, or a similar role within a secondary school setting. Excellent interpersonal skills are essential, along with strong teamwork abilities and adaptability. If you're committed to making a positive impact on young people's lives, this could be an excellent opportunity for you.

As a Behaviour Support Specialist, your day-to-day duties will include:

  • Providing one-to-one and small-group support: Building positive relationships and acting as a role model for students who find classroom dynamics challenging.
  • Implementing behaviour management strategies: Collaborating with teachers and the SEN team to carry out individualized behaviour plans, tracking progress and adjusting strategies as needed.
  • Facilitating student engagement: Assisting students in overcoming behavioural and emotional barriers, encouraging positive behaviours, and helping them re-engage with classroom activities.
  • Creating a safe, supportive environment: Using empathy and strong interpersonal skills to build trust and provide students with a space where they feel understood and valued.
  • Assisting in personal development: Guiding students to develop social skills, resilience, and self-confidence through mentorship and encouragement.

We offer all our registered candidates FREE child protection and prevent duty training. All candidates must undertake or have undertaken a valid enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check. Full assistance provided.

This role comes with a competitive salary range of £85-£110 per day, dependent on experience. We also provide continuous professional development opportunities to build your skills in behaviour management, mental health support, and inclusive education.
