Neuro Oncology Specialist Nurse

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Clinical Nurse Specialist to join our Macmillan Neuro Oncology team at Hull University Teaching Hospitals NHS Trust. The successful candidate will work closely with our multidisciplinary team to provide holistic care and support to patients with brain and central nervous system tumours.
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in neurosciences, cancer, or palliative care, with excellent communication and interpersonal skills. They will be able to work autonomously and as part of a team, with a focus on providing high-quality patient care and support.
The role will involve working closely with patients, carers, and other healthcare professionals to provide advice, support, and information. The successful candidate will also be involved in the development of services for Neuro Oncology patients and their carers.

Key Responsibilities- Provide holistic care and support to patients with brain and central nervous system tumours
- Work closely with the multidisciplinary team to develop and implement care plans
- Provide advice, support, and information to patients, carers, and other healthcare professionals
- Develop and deliver education and training programs for patients and healthcare professionals
- Contribute to the development of services for Neuro Oncology patients and their carers
- Post-basic qualification in Neurosciences (Neurosurgery or Neurology) / cancer / palliative care or relevant subject
- Experience of working in a neurosciences, cancer, or palliative care setting
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work autonomously and as part of a team
- Leadership and motivational skills
