About the Role

The Macmillan Neuro-oncology Clinical Nurse Specialist team at Hull Royal Infirmary and Castle Hill Hospital is seeking a skilled individual to join their team on a temporary basis. As a key member of the Neuro-oncology team, you will provide holistic care and support to patients with brain and rare central nervous system tumours, pituitary tumours, skull base tumours, and spinal tumours.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide direct patient care and support, working closely with consultants, oncologists, and other multidisciplinary team members.
  • Develop and implement individualized care plans, ensuring patients receive timely and effective treatment.
  • Collaborate with the Neuro-oncology team to ensure seamless care delivery and patient satisfaction.
  • Participate in the development of services for Neuro-oncology patients and their carers.
  • Contribute to the education and training of healthcare professionals, promoting best practices in Neuro-oncology care.
Requirements
  • Post-basic qualification in Neurosciences (Neurosurgery or Neurology) or relevant subject.
  • Relevant post-registration experience in Neurosciences, cancer, or palliative care.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and IT skills.
  • Ability to work autonomously and as part of a team.
