We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Research Nurse to join our team in the Academic Department of Oncology and Haematology at the Queens Centre, Castle Hill Hospital.
About the RoleThe successful candidate will be responsible for working within the Clinical Trials function to support an increasing portfolio of Oncology/Haematology based clinical trials. This will involve working with all members of the multi-disciplinary team in the recruitment, screening and care of patients.
The ideal candidate will have significant acute nursing experience, a mature attitude, and excellent communication skills. They will also have a working knowledge of scientific protocols, the ability to prioritise workload and work independently and flexibly.
Key Responsibilities- Recruitment, screening and care of patients in Oncology/Haematology clinical trials
- Working with the multi-disciplinary team to ensure smooth trial delivery
- Developing and maintaining relationships with external research partners
- Contributing to the development of new research initiatives
- RN with at least 2 years acute experience
- Experience of working in a specialty with cancer-related procedures/care or in clinical research
- Experience of working autonomously and as part of a multi-disciplinary team
- Evidence of continuous professional development
- Oncology and/or Haematology Experience
- Research experience or evidence and understanding of ICH-GCP
