Warehouse and 3PL Team Leader

Freightserve is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Warehouse and 3PL Team Leader to join our team. As a key member of our logistics operations, you will be responsible for overseeing the daily activities of our warehouse and third-party logistics (3PL) services.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Receiving and Unloading:
    • Unload and inspect incoming shipments to ensure accuracy and quality.
    • Verify quantities and notify the team of any discrepancies.
    • Accurately record and store items in designated warehouse locations.
    • Manage workload and create weekly plans and reports to optimize warehouse operations.
  • Order Fulfillment:
    • Pick, pack, and prepare orders for shipment according to customer specifications.
    • Ensure accurate and timely processing of orders.
    • Update order status and inventory levels using warehouse management systems (WMS).
  • Inventory Management:
    • Conduct regular stock checks and inventory audits to maintain accuracy.
    • Report any discrepancies or issues with inventory levels.
    • Assist in maintaining accurate inventory records and documentation.
  • Warehouse Maintenance:
    • Ensure the warehouse is clean, organized, and safe for employees and equipment.
    • Follow health and safety guidelines and procedures.
    • Operate warehouse equipment safely and efficiently, as needed.
  • Third-Party Logistics (3PL) Support:
    • Assist with coordinating and handling 3PL activities.
    • Communicate with 3PL providers to ensure smooth operations and timely deliveries.
    • Track and report on 3PL performance and activities.
    • Actively promote our services to grow our UK and Global Operations.
  • Customer Service:
    • Address and resolve basic customer inquiries related to orders and shipments.
    • Provide excellent service to ensure customer satisfaction throughout the process.
  • Management:
    • Create processes and procedures to oversee warehouse and 3PL operations.
    • Manage the P&L and drive revenue and profitability within the warehouse.
    • Invoice customers for all work and share monthly management reports.
Requirements:
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Previous experience in a warehouse or logistics role.
  • Strong leadership and organizational skills to oversee operations.
  • Knowledge of warehouse operations and inventory management.
  • Ability to operate warehouse equipment, as needed.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Good communication and teamwork skills.
  • Basic computer skills and familiarity with WMS.
  • Ability to lift and move heavy objects.
  • Capability to work alone and within a team.

Core hours are Monday to Friday, 9am. Rotational evening and weekend working may be required.
