Warehouse and 3PL Team Leader Job Description

Freightserve is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Warehouse and 3PL Team Leader to join our team. As a key member of our logistics team, you will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of our warehouse and third-party logistics activities.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Receiving and Unloading: Receive and inspect incoming shipments, verify quantities and quality of goods, and accurately record and store items in designated warehouse locations.
  • Order Fulfillment: Pick, pack, and prepare orders for shipment according to customer specifications, ensuring accurate and timely processing of orders.
  • Inventory Management: Conduct regular stock checks and inventory audits, report any discrepancies or issues with inventory levels, and assist in maintaining accurate inventory records and documentation.
  • Warehouse Maintenance: Maintain a clean, organized, and safe warehouse environment, follow health and safety guidelines and procedures, and operate warehouse equipment safely and efficiently.
  • Third-Party Logistics (3PL) Support: Assist with coordinating and handling third-party logistics activities, communicate with 3PL providers to ensure smooth operations and timely deliveries, and help track and report on 3PL performance and activities.
  • Customer Service: Address and resolve basic customer inquiries related to orders and shipments, provide excellent service to ensure customer satisfaction, and manage entire warehouse operations from stock to inventory management.
Qualifications and Key Skills:
  • High school diploma or equivalent, previous experience in a warehouse or logistics role preferred.
  • Strong leadership and organisational skills, knowledge of warehouse operations and inventory management, and ability to operate warehouse equipment.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy, good communication and teamwork skills, and basic computer skills and familiarity with warehouse management systems.

Hours: Core hours Monday to Friday 9am, rotational evening and weekend working may be required.
