Job Overview

This is an exciting opportunity to be part of a team delivering mental health support to children and young people in schools.

Berkshire Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust is committed to providing high-quality care to our community, and we are looking for a dedicated Mental Health Practitioner - Education Specialist to join our team.

Main Responsibilities
  • Deliver evidence-based interventions for children and young people with mild to moderate mental health problems in educational settings.
  • Help children and young people access more specialist services when needed.
  • Support staff in education settings to identify and manage mental health issues.
  • Work collaboratively with education environments to improve access to specialist mental health services.
  • Apply CYP IAPT principles, evidence-based interventions, and routine outcome measures confidently.
Requirements
  • Post Graduate Diploma in Education Mental Health Practice (EMHP)
  • Proven academic attainment and basic literacy and numeracy qualifications at level 2 or equivalent
  • Experience working with children and young people with mental health issues
  • Ability to work in a multiagency setting and develop professional relationships
  • Knowledge of the educational system in England and child development
