Teacher Role Overview

This SEN Teacher position requires an experienced professional to deliver high-quality education for students with special educational needs in Staffordshire.

Key Job Duties: Design and implement personalised learning plans, foster an inclusive classroom environment, and ensure every student reaches their full potential.

Main Responsibilities
  1. Learning Planning: Develop and implement tailored lesson plans that cater to the diverse needs of students with SEN, using a range of teaching strategies and resources.
  2. Assessment and Intervention: Regularly assess student progress, identifying areas of strength and development to inform teaching strategies and maximise outcomes.
  3. Collaborative Practice: Work closely with teaching assistants, parents, and external specialists to create and implement access plans that meet individual student needs.
  4. Professional Growth: Stay up-to-date with the latest research, best practices, and interventions in SEN, applying them to enhance teaching and learning.
  5. Effective Collaboration: Maintain open communication with parents, carers, and colleagues to ensure a collaborative and informed approach to supporting students with SEN.
Required Skills and Qualifications
  1. Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) and relevant teaching qualifications.
  2. Specialisation or additional training in Special Educational Needs (SEN).
  3. Experience working with students with a range of SEN, adapting teaching methods to suit individual needs.
  4. Strong knowledge of SEN legislation, policies, and best practices.
  5. A willingness and enthusiasm for supporting pupils with Special Educational Needs.
