Our Team
Our sales and technical team is growing rapidly, and we are seeking a highly skilled Technical Sales Specialist to join our team. As a Technical Sales Specialist, you will be responsible for:
- Building Relationships
Developing strong relationships with new and existing industrial clients across various industries, including Formula 1, Aerospace, and Engineering.
- Sales and Marketing
Attending industry exhibitions and events to build market knowledge, identify leads, and gain competitor analysis.
- Product Presentation
Presenting and demonstrating our instruments to Quality & Inspection departments, discussing the features and benefits they offer.
- Sales Performance
Securing sales of instruments with a value of £5K to £50K, with a typical sales cycle time of 1 to 6 months.
- Travel and Territory Management
Covering the northern region of the UK, spending an average of 3-4 nights per month away from home.
- Client Management
Building lasting relationships with Process Engineers, Engineering Managers, Quality Managers, and Procurement.
- Communication
Conducting both virtual and face-to-face meetings, handling technical and commercial inquiries from your territory.
About You
To be successful in this role, you must possess technical sales / field applications experience dealing with industrial clients. Product experience within areas such as metrology, non-contact measurement, optical imaging, microscopy, photonics, spectroscopy, nanotechnology, motion control, CMMs, materials characterisation, materials testing equipment, vision inspection, hardness testers, linear bearings, motors, or high-precision optical encoders would be highly advantageous.
Technical education in Mechanical Engineering, Metrology, Mechatronics, Electromechanical, Science (Physics, Chemistry, Biophysics, Biological Sciences), or affiliated would be advantageous, but not essential if you possess proven success within a technical sales capacity.
