The appointee will lead and manage all day-to-day engineering activities, design, and implement effective management strategies to maximize production, implement a coherent capital investment program, and ensure that all engineering and maintenance contracts are reviewed, tendered, and negotiated in a timely manner. The appointee should be an effective leader, able to implement complicated project plans, who fully understands the importance of customer involvement, thrives on developing strong teamwork, and can demonstrate continuous performance improvement along with strong professional and personal integrity.

Candidates, ideally qualified to degree level in a relevant engineering discipline, will be self-starters who can demonstrate drive, tenacity, and strong leadership coupled with exemplary communication and presentation skills, strong teamwork, and a desire to build strong relationships both internally and externally. Listening, influencing, and negotiating will be key competencies along with the ability to manage positive change and deliver performance improvement. An enthusiastic outlook, strong IT and financial awareness, and a track record of strategic design and engaging others to deliver exceptional results will be required to grasp this opportunity and make a real difference to this business.
