Senior Specialist Biomedical Scientist Haematology Training Officer

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Biomedical Scientist to join our team as a Senior Specialist in Haematology Training. This is an exciting opportunity to lead and manage the training and competency assessment of new and current Biomedical Scientists, Associate Practitioners, and MLA staff in Blood Sciences.
Key Responsibilities- Manage the training and competency assessment of staff in Blood Sciences
- Implement training programs for all grades of staff, including Specialist Registrars, STP, and HSST students, and apprentices
- Provide continued professional development opportunities for registered and non-registered technical staff
- Audit and assess compliance with regulatory body expectations
- Maintain the training status of the Blood Transfusion and Haematology laboratory, in line with IBMS standards

Requirements- MSc in Biomedical Science or IBMS Special Examination (Fellowship)
- Holder of the IBMS Certificate of Competence, Registration Portfolio
- Registration with the Health Care Professions Council
- Evidence of continuous professional development
- Training qualification
- Management/Quality training
- Knowledge of higher specialist level in relevant area
- At least 5 years post HCPC registration in diagnostic Haematology & Blood Transfusion
- Experience of effectively managing staff
- Experience of teaching staff
