The Cancer Tracker/MDM Coordinator will work closely with clinical and non-clinical staff in our cancer multidisciplinary teams, providing essential support during periods of annual leave or sickness absence. Key responsibilities include:

  • Collaborating with multidisciplinary team members and clerical staff to ensure timely movement and tracking of cancer patients through their journey.
  • Identifying and addressing barriers to individual patient pathways and potential breaches of waiting time guarantees, escalating concerns to the appropriate manager as needed.
  • Facilitating the collection, analysis, and presentation of audit data to inform patient care and monitor key performance indicators.
  • Coordinating regular multidisciplinary team meetings to ensure a smooth patient journey and timely management of cancer cases.
  • Providing administrative support to the Specialist Nurse team.
