Cancer Data Coordinator

The Cancer Data Coordinator will work closely with clinical and non-clinical staff in our cancer multidisciplinary teams, providing support during periods of annual leave or sickness absence. Key responsibilities include:

  • Ensuring the timely movement and tracking of cancer and potential cancer patients through their journey from referral onwards.
  • Identifying barriers to individual patient pathways and escalating to the appropriate manager in accordance with local policy.
  • Facilitating the collection, analysis, and presentation of audit data to monitor patient care.
  • Coordinating regular multidisciplinary team meetings to ensure seamless patient journeys.
  • Providing secretarial support to the Specialist Nurse team.

This post requires the post holder to have a PVG Scheme membership/record. If the post holder is not a current PVG member for the required regulatory group, an application will need to be made to Disclosure Scotland and deemed satisfactory before they can begin in post.
