Public Affairs Coordinator

Cancer Research UK is seeking a highly motivated and organized Public Affairs Assistant to join our team in Scotland. As a key member of our Policy, Information and Communications department, you will play a vital role in ensuring cancer remains high on the political agenda.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in developing and implementing public affairs strategies to influence policy and decision-making in Scotland.
- Build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including politicians, civil servants, and other organizations.
- Provide administrative support to the Public Affairs Manager, including preparing briefings, reports, and other materials.
- Contribute to the development of policy briefs, position papers, and other written materials.
- Help to coordinate events, meetings, and other activities to promote Cancer Research UK's work in Scotland.
Requirements:
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Good understanding of the Scottish political landscape and policy issues.
- Ability to work flexibly, including occasional evenings and weekends.
