About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Policy and Public Affairs Officer to join our team at the MS Society. As a key member of our team, you will play a critical role in developing and implementing our policy and public affairs strategy in Scotland.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement policy and public affairs strategies to influence change in public policy and improve the lives of people affected by MS.
  • Work closely with the MS community, Scottish Government, and other stakeholders to build relationships and advance our policy objectives.
  • Communicate our policy position to a wide range of audiences, including the media, politicians, and the public.
  • Contribute to the development of our policy and public affairs team, including providing guidance and support to colleagues.
Requirements
  • Experience of working in policy and public affairs, preferably in a charity or not-for-profit organisation.
  • Strong understanding of the Scottish policy and political environment.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships with a wide range of stakeholders.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a strong focus on delivering results.
