About the Role

This is an exciting opportunity to join our team as a Policy and Public Affairs Advisor. As a key member of our team, you will play a crucial role in developing and implementing our policy and public affairs strategy.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including MSPs and their teams, to influence policy and decision-making.
  • Conduct research and analysis to inform our policy and public affairs work, and develop evidence-based recommendations.
  • Work closely with our MS community to understand their needs and concerns, and develop policy and public affairs strategies that reflect their priorities.
  • Develop and implement effective communication strategies to engage with key audiences, including the media, politicians, and the public.
  • Monitor and analyze policy developments, and provide timely and effective responses to emerging issues.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Experience of working in policy and public affairs, with a strong understanding of the Scottish policy environment.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with stakeholders.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to develop and implement effective solutions.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a strong commitment to delivering results.
