About the Role

This is an exciting opportunity to join our team as a Policy and Public Affairs Advisor. As a key member of our team, you will play a crucial role in developing and implementing our policy and public affairs strategy.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including MSPs and their teams, to influence policy and decision-making.
  • Conduct research and analysis to inform policy development and advocacy efforts.
  • Develop and implement effective communication strategies to engage with the MS community and other stakeholders.
  • Work closely with the Scottish Policy and Communications team to ensure alignment and coordination of efforts.
  • Identify and pursue opportunities for policy and advocacy work that aligns with our organization's goals and objectives.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will have:

  • Experience of working in policy and public affairs, with a strong understanding of the political and policy environment in Scotland.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain relationships with a wide range of stakeholders.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to conduct research and analysis to inform policy development and advocacy efforts.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a strong commitment to delivering results and achieving outcomes.
