Community Liaison Officer

We are seeking an enthusiastic individual to join our Community Gateway Service as a Community Liaison Officer. This role will involve receiving referrals to the District Nursing Neighbourhood, the Integrated Urgent Care Team, and the Adult Social Care Neighbourhood teams.
This position will be based at Crickets Lane Clinic, Ashton, and will involve working a shift pattern on a rota basis. The ideal candidate will be the first point of contact for service users making initial contact to the Community Gateway regarding health and/or social care matters.
Main Responsibilities
- To be the first point of contact for service users making an initial contact to the Community Gateway regarding health and/or social care matters.
- To work with the Community Gateway team to provide a high-quality service to service users.
- To maintain accurate records and reports as required.

Person Specification
- Education and Qualifications
- IT Skills in Microsoft, word and excel
- English and Maths, GCSE, CSE, level 2 or A-C or above or relevant experience with an administration role
- Car Driver/Ability to travel
- Knowledge
- Working experience of general office duties
- Reception duties - answering the phone
- Previous experience working with the General Public and Vulnerable People
- Previous experience of working within an Adult Social Care setting
- Experience of working within a Call Centre environment
- Experience
- Previous experience of working in an Office environment
- Previous experience of handling a high volume of telephone calls/Reception Work
- Ability to understand and follow algorithms and processes
- Skills and Abilities
- Typing/IT skills (email, word processing & file management)
- Effective communication skills with a wide range of people
- Flexibility to cope with changing needs of the job
- Eager to learn new skills
- High degree of interpersonal skills
- Resilient working under pressure
- Able to achieve high work rates
- NVQ Customer Care or equivalent
