About the Role

The Patient Advice and Liaison Service (PALS) Officer is a vital role within Tameside and Glossop Integrated Care NHS Foundation Trust. As a PALS Officer, you will be the first point of contact for patients, carers, and visitors, providing on-the-spot information and advice to facilitate the resolution of informal concerns.

Main Responsibilities

Key responsibilities of the role include:

  • Providing an efficient and effective service in addressing concerns and providing information/signposting to other services
  • Acting as the first point of contact for patients/carers/visitors and staff communicating with the PALS Department
  • Engaging with services across the Trust and managing enquiries from members of the public in a timely and efficient manner

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Able to organise and prioritise work
  • Ability to work as part of a team
  • Knowledge of confidentiality procedures pertaining to Data Protection Act
