We are seeking a highly skilled Financial Services Manager to join our team, responsible for providing financial guidance and support to stakeholders, including service users. The ideal candidate will have significant experience within a finance department, with a proven track record of successfully managing a finance team and achieving deadlines.

The successful applicant will be responsible for ensuring the Financial Services section works to robust documented financial procedures, processing all relevant financial transactions with completeness, accuracy, and timeliness. This includes responsibility for accounts payable, accounts receivable, charitable funds, treasury management, technical accounts, and capital.

In addition to their financial expertise, the successful candidate will possess excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, as well as a strong understanding of confidentiality and an appreciation of the importance of deadlines.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in the provision of financial services and ensure stakeholders receive relevant, accurate, and timely financial advice and information.
  • Manage a finance team and coordinate processes involved in financial accounts.
  • Ensure the Financial Services section adheres to robust documented financial procedures.
  • Prepare appropriate Annual Accounts notes and FTC submissions.
  • Prepare data for inclusion in the Trust's NHSE returns.

Requirements:

  • 5 GCSEs grade C or above, including Maths and English or equivalent.
  • AAT Advanced/NVQ level 4 Accounting or equivalent experience.
  • Significant experience within a finance department, with a proven track record of successfully managing a finance team.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • A strong understanding of confidentiality and an appreciation of the importance of deadlines.

We offer a competitive salary of £43,041 - £52,959 per annum, depending on experience, plus benefits including flexible working, 27-33 days annual leave, sick pay, NHS Pension Scheme, free eye tests and health checks, gym discount, and more.
