Job Title: Senior Social Work Team Lead

About the Role:

Tameside Council is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Social Work Team Lead to join our Cared for Children Services team. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for leading a team of Social Workers and ensuring the provision of high-quality care and support to children and young people in our care.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead a team of Social Workers and provide guidance and support to ensure the delivery of excellent care and support services to children and young people.
  • Develop and implement effective policies and procedures to ensure the safety and well-being of children and young people.
  • Work closely with other agencies and professionals to ensure the best possible outcomes for children and young people.

Requirements:

To be successful in this role, you will need to have:

  • Extensive experience in a senior social work role, preferably in a children's services setting.
  • Excellent leadership and management skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire a team.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with children, young people, families, and other professionals.
