About the Role
We are seeking a highly skilled Speech and Language Therapist to join our Integrated Learning Disability Team in Oldham. As a Specialist Speech Therapist, you will work with adults with learning disabilities who may have complex and challenging needs.
Main Responsibilities
Deliver evidence-based Speech and Language Therapy assessments and interventions to adults with learning disabilities. Work in a multi-disciplinary context, providing person-centred, creative, and innovative communication solutions. Develop hypotheses based on assessments and implement Specialist Speech & Language Therapy treatment and programmes of care.
Key Requirements
Recognised Speech and Language Therapy degree qualification or equivalent. Evidence of successful completion of post-basic dysphagia qualification. Previous experience of working with individuals with learning disabilities. Well-established knowledge of relevant national and local policies, procedures, and clinical guidelines.
