Role: Lead Occupational Therapist
Location: Oldham
Salary: Up to £45,000
Boston House are looking for a Lead Occupational Therapist with a real passion for working with people with complex disabilities following a brain injury. Boston House provides support for 17 adults with complex needs following a brain injury. Our highly trained support team offer a personalised rehabilitation support plan to meet the specific needs and goals of the individuals we support. This includes a tailored rehabilitation service consisting of physical therapy, occupational therapy, speech and language therapy, and cognitive rehabilitation.
This is an exciting opportunity to join a continually developing organisation as part of a friendly, professional, and supportive multi-disciplinary team. You would be working with the support of other professionals within our Clinical Team in this varied and rewarding role.
As the Lead Occupational Therapist for Boston House, you will be involved in the day to day support and routine of the people within the service including but not limited to
- Manage and lead a team of occupational therapists and speech and language therapists
- Ensure all people we support have a full care plan pathway in accordance with relevant standards.
- To take responsibility for ensuring high standards of direct patient care.
- Ensure patient records are up to date and are an accurate reflection of the situation.
- To provide guidance and role modelling to junior staff, through actively being involved in and directing care and on clinical issues.
- Provide support to all team members to ensure the smooth running of the Unit
- Ensure the effective planning, delivery and evaluation of all nursing care and integrated therapy plans
