About the Role

The Workforce Transformation Manager will play a pivotal role in driving improvement and innovation in workforce redesign and optimizing the mix of skills and effectiveness through collaboration and partnership working with Integrated Care Systems.

Main Responsibilities
  • Provide dedicated support to workforce transformation projects, ensuring seamless execution and effective outcomes.
  • Deliver a Workforce Transformation Programme that reflects Workforce, Training and Education Directorate and ICS workforce transformation priorities, aligning with NHS England's strategic objectives.
  • Lead projects that require innovative new approaches to education, training, workforce, and employment models, fostering a culture of continuous improvement.
Main Duties
  • Assist the senior Workforce Transformation team in establishing and maintaining trusted relationships and influential networks with external, senior stakeholders under challenging conditions, ensuring effective communication and collaboration.
  • Work with senior external stakeholders on complex and contentious issues in a political environment relating to local workforce transformation priorities, providing expert guidance and support.

Person Specification

Essential:

  • Strong understanding of workforce development in healthcare, including workforce transformation approaches, education development, and commissioning, with a focus on strategic leadership and innovation.
  • Skilled communicator able to build and maintain stakeholder relationships, supporting and enabling management/development and delivery of plans, with a focus on collaboration and partnership working.
Qualifications

Essential:

  • Master's level or equivalent level of experience of working at a senior level in a relevant field, with a focus on strategic leadership and workforce transformation.
