Job Summary

This role involves managing clinical trials medicines, supervising receipt and dispensing, and ensuring compliance with Good Clinical Practice guidelines.

Key Responsibilities
  • Supervises and maintains the Pharmacy clinical trials service in accordance with ICH GCP guidelines and Pharmacy procedures
  • Undertakes the receipt, dispensing, accountability, returns, and destruction of clinical trials in the clinical trials pharmacies
  • Evaluates accuracy of dispensing, storage, and expiry date records for clinical trials
  • Manages quarantined clinical trials medication and communicates results of quarantined medicine investigations to the clinical trials pharmacists
Person Specification

The ideal candidate will possess:

  • Current registration as a Pharmacy Technician with the General Pharmaceutical Council
  • Accredited Checking Pharmacy Technician for final checking of dispensed medicines
