Role Overview

This role is for an experienced Accredited Checking Pharmacy Technician to manage clinical trials medicines, supervise the receipt and dispensing of these medicines, and ensure that all trials are conducted in accordance with Good Clinical Practice guidelines.

About the Role
  • To oversee and maintain the Pharmacy clinical trials service in compliance with ICH GCP guidelines and Pharmacy procedures
  • Responsible for the receipt, dispensing, accountability, returns, and destruction of clinical trials in the clinical trials pharmacies
  • Ensures accurate dispensing, storage, and expiry date records for clinical trials are kept up-to-date and archived for future reference
  • Manages quarantined clinical trials medication and reports results of quarantined medicine investigations to the clinical trials pharmacists
  • Plans, organizes, and manages the daily workload of the pharmacy clinical trials service in conjunction with the clinical trials pharmacists, pharmacy technicians, and assistants
Key Responsibilities

The successful candidate will have:

  • Current registration as a Pharmacy Technician with the General Pharmaceutical Council
  • Accredited Checking Pharmacy Technician for final checking of dispensed medicines
