CUSTOMS OPERATIONS SPECIALIST - 12 MONTH FIXED TERM CONTRACT

As a Customs Operations Specialist, you will leverage your expertise to develop innovative solutions and influence the future of our operations. Join a worldwide network of dedicated professionals, supported by cutting-edge technology, to elevate your career.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with clients to coordinate customs submissions for the transportation of goods, including comprehensive declarations for both imports and exports, transition declarations (T1's) relevant to exports, and CFSP frontier and supplementary declarations as necessary.
  • Provide timely and relevant information to clients, freight forwarders, transporters, and internal stakeholders, ensuring exceptional customer service and engagement.
  • Ensure all documentation is accurately completed to meet deadlines and processing requirements.
  • Address critical requirements and resolve issues within processing timelines.
  • Maintain all customs entry files in both electronic and physical formats as required for certification and documentation.
  • Manage inquiries from the Global Service Centre (GSC) and respond to communications from HMRC and other UK Government Departments regarding declaration responses.
  • Dispatch and share data with the Global Service Centre (GSC) as applicable.

Skills & Qualifications

  • Previous experience in Customs is advantageous. Familiarity with customs and excise procedures, invoicing clients, and managing documentation for importers/exporters to and from international locations is essential. Proficient in computer use, effective communicator, excellent telephone etiquette, organized with strong administrative skills. Proven history of delivering outstanding customer service.

LOCATION: Hayes

HOURS: per week (shifts – Monday - Friday – hours)
