About the Job

Gilead Sciences, Inc. is a research-based biopharmaceutical company seeking a skilled Regional Market Access Manager to ensure broad access for current and future Gilead medicines in the East and West Midlands region.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Lead and implement the cross-portfolio Gilead market access strategy across defined NHSE regions.
  2. Develop strong working relationships with regional NHSE, ICS, and local authority commissioning stakeholders to enable implementation of Gilead access strategies.
  3. Collaborate with Gilead cross-functional teams to ensure alignment between national and regional/local plans.
  4. Ensure timely inclusion of Gilead medicines onto local and regional formularies.
  5. Remove regional or local barriers to patient access.
  6. Develop a deep understanding of the local policy and payer environment, understanding local NHS priorities, and bringing these insights back into the organization to inform commercial strategies.
  7. Scope out potential opportunities for Gilead within the changing NHS environment, specifically ICS organizations and Cancer Alliances, feeding recommendations into the brand and market access teams and identifying key decision-makers with whom future interactions should occur.
  8. Articulate and refine brand value propositions through use of approved Gilead Payer Tools and messaging.
  9. Identify opportunities to optimize funding for service elements (e.g., patient pathways) in the therapeutic areas within which Gilead works.

About the Team

As a Regional Market Access Manager, you will be responsible for developing and sustaining highly effective, credible, productive, and compliant working relationships between Gilead and the following external stakeholders:

  1. Regional and Area NHS England Specialised Commissioning Teams.
  2. ICB Commissioners and other key decision-makers.
  3. Provider Trust Level Budget Holders/Commissioners.
  4. Regional and Trust Level Procurement & Specialist Pharmacists.
  5. Regional CRG Members & Clinical Leads.
  6. Regional and local Public Health Commissioners (Directors of Public Health, UKSHA, OHID).
  7. Local Authority Commissioners.
  8. Community initiative stakeholders (e.g., Fast-Track Cities).
  9. Other relevant decision-makers.

Requirements

  • Market Access experience, including Specialised Commissioning Payer experience, with proven success in the role.
  • Experience of developing strong and successful relationships and partnerships with NHS Payers.
  • Blood-Borne Virus and/or Oncology Commercial Experience.
  • Proven Sales Excellence.
  • Breadth of experience in Market Access desirable (e.g., leading HTA processes, developing payer value propositions, and material development).
