Job Overview:

We are seeking an experienced Business Development Manager to join our client's team in the UK South region. The successful candidate will have a solid background in sales within the fenestration industry, selling into architects, specifiers and contractors, and possess excellent technical knowledge and industry and product expertise.

This is an exciting opportunity to join a high-end, successful fenestration business that manufactures and supplies skylights, roof lights and large glass roofs for the commercial, retail and domestic market. Our client takes pride in their products and ensures their customers receive the best experience possible.

The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of developing and delivering sales plans, identifying new customers and opportunities, and providing exceptional customer service. They will also possess excellent communication and organisational skills, as well as the ability to work effectively in a team environment.

Responsibilities:

* Develop and deliver a comprehensive regional sales plan that targets profitable growth from specification, project and customer leads, relationships and quotations
* Identify new customers, make contact and initiate the sales process
* Provide technical advice to customers and assist with specification of products
* Efficiently and effectively generate quotations and follow up with proactive, structured quotation tracking
* Travel to site or customers' offices as required

Requirements:

* Qualifications in economics/industrial engineering or a related field
* Extensive experience in the fenestration industry selling into architects, specifiers and contractors
* Excellent technical knowledge and industry and product expertise
* Strong communication and organisational skills
* Ability to work effectively in a team environment
