Employee Relations Specialist

Due to an exciting period of transformation and integration, our client, a leading international company, is seeking an experienced Employee Relations Specialist to support their People Team for a 6-month duration.
This is a dynamic and challenging role that will play a crucial part in ensuring the smooth transition of the organisation through a merger process, maintaining employee engagement, and resolving people-related issues effectively.
The successful candidate will work closely with the high-performing People Team to provide expert advice, manage a busy caseload of employee relations issues, and collaborate with operations teams and leadership to understand current organisational structures and support planning activities.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide expert advice and guidance on employee relations matters
- Manage a caseload of informal and formal employee relations issues
- Collaborate with operations teams and leadership to understand organisational structures and support planning activities
- Comply with employment laws, regulations, and HR best practices across the UK and USA
- Analyse data related to employee relations, identify trends, and address concerns
- Prepare reports for HR leadership summarising findings and recommending actions to improve employee relations
- Recommend and implement corrective actions to resolve employee relations issues effectively
Requirements:
- Minimum of 3 years' experience in employee relations/HR, with proven experience in conducting investigations and handling complex employee relations issues
- Experience in the application of employment laws, regulations, and HR best practices across the UK and USA
- Experience with change and project management
- Experience of working in HR during a merger and/or acquisition, playing a key role during the integration
