About the Role

The Employee Relations Specialist will play a pivotal role in supporting the organization through a merger process, focusing on employee relations issues that arise during this transitional period.

Main Responsibilities
  • Support with Organisational Design: Assist in the development and implementation of organizational design strategies to align with the post-merger business objectives.
  • Collaborate with the operations team and leadership team to understand current organizational structures and support planning activities.
  • Support the design and rollout of new organizational charts, job roles, and reporting structures to reflect changes resulting from the merger.
Compliance and Legal Support

Ensure compliance with employment laws, regulations, and company policies during the merger process.

Data Analysis and Reporting

Analyze data related to employee relations, such as feedback from surveys and exit interviews, to identify trends and address concerns related to the merger.

Conflict Resolution and Mediation

Address and resolve workplace conflicts that arise during the merger in the months following, providing mediation and support to employees and managers.

Essential Criteria
  • 3+ years experience in employee relations, human resources, or a related field, with proven experience in conducting investigations and handling complex employee relations issues.
  • Experience in the application of employment laws, regulations, and HR best practices across UK and USA.
  • Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion.
Desirable Criteria
  • Bachelors degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • HR Certification or membership of CIPD.
  • Experience of working in HR during a merger and/or acquisition, playing a key role during the integration.
