About the Role

Shoosmiths is seeking a highly skilled Senior New Business Manager to join our team. As a key member of our Business Development & Marketing team, you will play a crucial role in helping us achieve our ambitious growth strategy.

Main Responsibilities
  • Work closely with our Director, Head of New Business, and other BDM leadership team members to drive our growth strategy forward.
  • Manage a client target pipeline, working closely with partners across our Key Pillars and Core Sectors.
  • Feed newly acquired clients into the client team and prioritize onboarding solutions to ensure seamless operational efficiency and excellent client experience.
  • Coordinate with cross-functional teams, including Shoosmiths EIGHT, IS, risk & ethics, to ensure seamless operational efficiency and excellent client experience.
  • Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to track the progress and success of our pursuits initiatives.
  • Provide regular updates and reports to senior management on pursuit status, challenges, and achievements.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends and raise Shoosmiths' profile in the market.
  • Work closely with the Head of New Business and Director on strategic pursuit planning for the business.
  • Work closely across the divisions to understand how best to promote them in the market.
  • Be highly visible in the market, especially in our Key Pillars and Core Sectors, and attend new prospect meetings.
  • Generate leads and introduce partners to new clients.
  • Closing new business.
Requirements

The ideal candidate will be comfortable managing their client network, making introductions, targeting new prospects, and generating new business. They will understand the professional services landscape and have a proven track record in doing so.

Risk and commercial awareness are vital to the role, and the ideal candidate should feel comfortable managing stakeholders. The right candidate is likely to be dynamic and comfortable with a wide range of responsibilities. They will have a willingness to tackle any situation with a can-do attitude and an entrepreneurial outlook, and an interest in innovation is key.

Any experience within connected services and holistic solutions would be advantageous.
