Companion and Support Worker for a Young Individual with Profound Learning Disabilities

UKCIL is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Companion and Support Worker to join our team in providing care and support to a 12-year-old boy with profound learning disabilities.
Job Summary
We are looking for an individual who can provide companionship, build relationships, and offer new opportunities for our client to access the community, engage in social activities, and promote independence.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide personal care and support to enable our client to live independently
- Accompany our client on outings and activities, such as swimming, play parks, and other community events
- Develop and maintain relationships with our client, their family, and other professionals involved in their care
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals to ensure our client receives high-quality care and support
- Maintain accurate records of our client's progress and well-being
Requirements
- Diploma or degree in a relevant field (e.g., social work, nursing, psychology)
- Experience working with individuals with learning disabilities and/or autism
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Able to work independently and as part of a team
- Flexibility to work variable hours, including evenings and weekends
