We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Support Worker to join our team in providing high-quality care and support to a 12-year-old boy with Profound Learning Disabilities.
About the Role
This is an exciting opportunity to work with a young person who requires assistance with daily living tasks, accessing the community, and engaging in social activities. As a Support Worker, you will be responsible for building a strong relationship with the individual, promoting their independence, and supporting them to achieve their goals.
Key Responsibilities
- Providing personal care and support with daily living tasks
- Assisting with accessing the community and participating in social activities such as play parks, swimming, and outdoor games
- Encouraging engagement in leisure activities and developing new skills
- Monitoring and maintaining a safe and healthy environment
- Communicating effectively with the individual's family and other professionals involved in their care
Requirements and Qualifications
- Experience working with individuals with Profound Learning Disabilities
- Ability to provide personal care and support with daily living tasks
- Good communication and interpersonal skills
- Flexibility and ability to work independently
- Valid UK driving license and access to own vehicle (essential)
Salary and Benefits
The successful candidate will receive a competitive salary of £13 per hour, paid weekly (£530 per month, based on 13 hours worked). In addition to this, they will also have access to a range of benefits, including:
