Job Title: Wine Expert

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Wine Expert to join our team at Page Personnel. As a key member of our business development team, you will be responsible for driving commercial performance and building strong relationships with our customers.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Develop and implement sales strategies to achieve budgeted profitability and meet commercial KPIs.
  2. Identify and pursue new business opportunities, maximizing sales potential and assessing account forecasts.
  3. Build and maintain strong relationships with customers, delivering exceptional customer service and promoting our wine portfolio.
  4. Collaborate with the marketing team to develop sales ideas and engage in wine-related activities such as presentations, training, and consultancy services.
  5. Host and participate in regional wine tastings and wine-led events, supporting educational initiatives.
  6. Utilize a CRM to develop a structured routine for customer visits and gain experience in other areas of the business.
  7. Travel to suppliers, producers, and company offices as required to support various aspects of the role.
Requirements:

We are looking for a Wine Expert with:

  • Essential wine knowledge and experience in wine sales, hospitality, or WSET.
  • Strong focus on wine sales with meticulous attention to detail.
  • Expertise in influencing and negotiating, supported by proven commercial acumen and financial proficiency.
  • Good computer literacy, particularly with Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, or Google Suite.
  • FMCG/wine sales experience and fluency in English, with proficiency in additional languages like French or Italian an asset.
  • A clean driving license and ability to travel to the Glasgow office.
