Job Description
We are seeking a skilled Bids and Tenders Specialist to join our internal sales team in Milton Keynes. This role offers an excellent opportunity to work with an industry-leading company, maximising client acquisition and retention.
This position involves working on a hybrid model, with a requirement to be in the office at least twice a week. As a Bids and Tenders Specialist, you will oversee the end-to-end bids and tenders process, including formal tenders and major proposals.
You will be responsible for:
- Managing proactive and reactive bids, collaborating with service lines and functions for intelligence, support, strategy, solution, proposal, and commercial offering.
- Leading virtual bid team activities and seeking inputs from key internal departments, including Sales, Marketing, Compliance, and Risk.
- Preparing collateral required for bids and tender proposals and presentations for submission.
- Ensuring all submissions meet both BSI and client requirements.
- Horizon scanning for new bids and tenders opportunities.
- Monitoring and tracking bids and tenders through CRM, ensuring accurate and up-to-date records.
- Presenting timely updates, reports, and analysis to teams and senior stakeholders as needed.
Requirements
To succeed in this role, you should have:
- Previous experience in the bids, tenders, and proposal process in a commercial environment.
- A demonstrable track record in sales, bids, and tenders involving large/complex opportunities in a business-to-business environment, with a favourable win ratio.
- Knowledge and understanding of public and private sector bid requirements.
- Experience of managing multiple, complex, time-phased activities to achieve results.
- Excellent verbal, written, and presentation skills, including board and C-suite level.
- Proficiency in Salesforce, Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, email, and internet-based applications.
- A 'right first time' attitude with a proactive approach to tasks.
- The confidence to challenge peers to ensure deadlines are met.
- Meticulous attention to detail.
Benefits
As a Bids and Tenders Specialist at BSI, you will receive a competitive salary of £55,000 - £65,000 per annum, depending on experience.
