We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate individual to join our team as a Children's Residential Support Worker. As a key member of our care team, you will play a vital role in providing a safe and nurturing environment for young people aged 14-17 with Emotional & Behavioural Difficulties (EBD) and challenging behaviours.
About the Role- Provide individualized support and care to young people, promoting their social, emotional, and behavioral development.
- Develop and maintain positive relationships with young people, staff, and external professionals to ensure a collaborative approach to their care.
- Contribute to a homely and friendly culture within the residential setting, encouraging young people to take responsibility for their lives.
- Manage challenging behaviors in a safe and sympathetic manner, ensuring the well-being and safety of all individuals.
- Collaborate with the care team to create and implement personalized care plans, promoting independence and self-esteem.
- Experience working with young people, preferably in a residential care setting.
- Valid driver's license and access to a car, as transportation is required.
- Empathetic and relatable individual with excellent communication and listening skills.
- Ability to work a 3-week rolling rota, including sleep-ins and evening shifts.
- A competitive salary of £27,336 - £30,336, including sleep allowance.
