About the Role

NHS Lanarkshire is seeking a skilled Healthcare Assistant to join their team at University Hospital Wishaw. As a key member of the multidisciplinary team, you will provide high-quality patient care and support, working closely with registered nurses and clinicians to ensure the best possible outcomes.

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver routine personal care and assist with examination duties for patients, ensuring a person-centred approach to care delivery.
  • Work collaboratively with the healthcare team to maintain a safe and effective care environment.
  • Carry out assigned tasks effectively in a busy environment, prioritising patient needs and maintaining high standards of care.
  • Develop and maintain effective communication skills, working with patients, families, and healthcare professionals to ensure seamless care delivery.
  • Participate in on-the-job training and induction, undertaking mandatory HCSW standards and continuing professional development to enhance skills and knowledge.
