Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and compassionate Senior Healthcare Support Worker to join our team at University Hospital Ayr. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will provide direct patient care and support to patients, families, and carers.

Key Responsibilities
  • Deliver high-quality patient care in a supportive and supervised environment.
  • Work collaboratively with registered nurses and other healthcare professionals to achieve excellent patient outcomes.
  • Develop and maintain effective communication skills to engage with patients, families, and carers.
  • Contribute to a culture of patient-focused care, respect, and dignity.
  • Participate in ongoing training and professional development to enhance your skills and knowledge.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will possess:

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • A genuine interest in working in healthcare and a commitment to patient-focused care.
  • Previous experience in a care setting or hospital environment (desirable).
  • Able to work under your own initiative in a busy and demanding environment.
Working Arrangements

This is a fixed-term/secondment position until 31st March 2025. You will work 34.1 hours per week.
